The Lil’ Irish boys basketball team
scored a huge win over McQuaid on senior night to complete what has once again
been a great season. Ending 17-3 with big
wins against McQuaid, Fairport, Edison, Buffalo Park School and Rush Henrietta,
the boys have earned themselves the third seeded position in the Class AA
Sectional Bracket. This can be credited to team’s great defense and how
unselfishly each team member plays offensively. With their 74-46 win over Webster
Thomas, the Lil’ Irish cruise through the first round of sectionals and move on
to face Rush Henrietta in the quarterfinals at Aquinas on Saturday, February 20th
at 7:00 pm. If the team wins on Saturday, they will advance to the semifinals
on Wednesday, February 24th either playing East or McQuaid at the
Blue Cross Arena.
